* Sony Music has announced that local outfit Amy Meredith (pictured) has been confirmed to appear on next week’s Hey Hey It’s Saturday. They’ll be joined on the bill by UK pop star Alexandra Burke, as announced yesterday.
* Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s single ‘Bittersweet’ was due for a local digital release next month, but that seems to have fallen by the wayside – it’s disappeared from this week’s Universal Music release schedule.
* Diana Vickers has announced that the follow-up to her smash UK No.1 single ‘Once’ will be the uptempo track ‘The Boy Who Murdered Love’. It’s due for UK release on July 12.
* Speaking of Universal, they yesterday officially serviced Ne-Yo’s brand new single to Australian radio. ‘Beautiful Monster’ is the first single to be lifted from Ne-Yo’s new album ‘Libra Scale’, due for release in September.
* And the No.1 most played song in the country this week is again Lady Gaga’s ‘Alejandro’. The No.1 most played Aussie song this week is Vanessa Amorosi’s ‘Mr.Mysterious
