* Universal Music has this week serviced ‘Dog Days Are Over’ – the new single from Florence & The Machine – to local radio. The track is the follow up to the band’s version of ‘You’ve Got The Love’.
* Also at radio this week are the new Justin Bieber track (as mentioned across the weekend), Central Station has serviced Edward Maya’s top five UK chart smash ‘Stereo Love’, there’s new new Children Collide single ‘Jellylegs’ and Jump Jump Dance Dance’s new single ‘Modern Eyes’.
* Sony Music is betting on the popularity of tween TV star Miranda Cosgrove (otherwise known as iCarly). They’ve decided to release a physical single of her track ‘Kissin’ You’. It’s scheduled to hit retail on July 09.
* Aussie glam rockers Airbourne have announced an Australian tour – set to kick off in October this year. The ‘No Guts, No Glory’ tour will take in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne, with tickets on sale on June 04.
* Scarlett Belle will be appearing on Sunrise this morning, premiering the video for their brand new single ‘Closure’. Catch the clip at around 7:40am, with weather presenter FiFi Box taking us behind the scenes of the clip.
* Australia’s Cheryl Cole fans will be thrilled with news that Universal Music will digitally release five ‘webisodes’ throughout the next five weeks. It kicks off with ‘Heartbreaker’ this weekend, followed by Ep 2 ‘Favourite City’ on June 04, Ep 3 ‘Musical Memories’ on June 11, Ep 4 ‘Best Advice You Would Give’ on June 18 and Ep 5 ‘Best Advice You’ve Had’ on June 25.
* On the UK singles chart this week, B.o.B has been able to do what he didn’t do locally – nab the No.1 position with his single ‘Nothin’ On You’. Alexandra Burke’s new single ‘All Night Long’ surpasses the success of it’s predecessor ‘Broken Heels’, heading up to No.4 and the Leeds United Team and supporters are in at No.10.
* And finally on the British albums chart, it’s the Rolling Stones who’ve conquered all with the re-release of their classic ‘Exile On Main Street’ album. New at No.2 was Faithless’ album ‘The Dance’, Baseballs’ album ‘Strike’ came in at No.4 and LCD Soundsystem came in at No.7.
