Universal Music has late this afternoon serviced ‘Chemical Rush’ as the second single from Brian McFadden’s brand new album ‘Wall Of Soundz’. It’s the follow-up to the hugely successful ‘Just Say So’, which recently hit the No.1 position on the ARIA singles chart and complements Brian’s appearance as a judge on Channel 7’s ‘Australia’s Got Talent’.
How his appearance as a 7 Network personality will impact on his ability to get a live performance guernsey on other networks remains to be seen.

The song is rather radio friendly, but it isn’t as fantastic as ‘Just Say So’ or anything like that. It isn’t that great. However, if someone like Vanessa Amorosi can pull off a top 10 hit with a third single from an album (Mr. Mysterious), then surely Brian can make this a hit.

Firstly – I’d just like to say it’s fantastic that X Factor is now factoring into Australian TV/Music conversations!
Secondly, I love the single cover – I’m STILL yet to hear the album – but it sounds FANTASTIC

Anonymous, Guy Sebastian actually was the runner up on “It Takes Two” – and he used the show to launch his single “Taller Stronger Better”, which ended up being a top 3 hit :)

Has Brian performed “Just Say So” live at all yet? Guy Sebastian appeared on “It Takes Two” as a mentor (although he didn’t last long) and from memory, I think this prevented him from appearing on “Australian Idol” that year, but that was probably more of a contractual issue, since he was actually performing on ITT (neither Brian nor Guy perform/will be performing on AGT/X Factor).

I think it is a strong song and Mistakes with Delta keep an eye on. Might be a single. Be good to see Brian singing live, be tough creating the sound being so manufactured as such.

I was thinking the same. He hasn’t done any appearances on other networks with Just Say So. I have a feeling Guy Sebastian may have the same trouble now he is an X-Factor judge.

I reckon Channel Ten won’t let him cross to their station, especially now Channel Seven’s picked up X Factor.
Channel 9 won’t do it, either, simply because Channel 7 is their biggest rival.

This song is only okay IMO, I can see it going top 20, but I don’t see it being a big hit.

Brian’s a singer – when he’s on another network he’s promoting his music not AGT, it shouldn’t come into it.
Marcia Hines was on Sunrise & Today & she was signed to 10 for Australian Idol.
