* Sony Music has taken the new Adam Lambert single ‘If I Had You’ to Australian radio this week. Australian music industry bible The Music Network has also christened the track this week’s ‘Premier Pick’.
* Also at radio this week is the new LCD Soundsystem track ‘I Can Change’, Jewel’s ‘Satisfied’, The McClymonts’ long-awaited new track ‘Hearts On Fire’. Warner is servicing the Cody Simpson track ‘iYiYi’ and Universal is re-servicing Robyn’s awesome ‘Dancing On My Own’ along with a bundle of remixes.
* Internationally renowned Aussie outfit The Cat Empire will launch their forthcoming brand new album ‘Cinema’ by way of a worldwide webcast on June 20. Fans can catch a glimpse of what to expect by clicking HERE.
* US outfit Train is the last outfit to be added to the Hey Hey It’s Saturday line-up. Sony has confirmed that the band will perform their former No.1 single ‘Hey, Soul Sister’ on the iconic show on Wednesday June 23.
* auspOp reader Jose has alerted us to the fact that Universal Music is allowing local Lady Gaga fans to purchase copies of her original ‘The Fame’ USB via their ‘Getmusic’ website. Click HERE to check it out.* Here’s one a little out of the box… VV Brown’s album ‘Travelling Like The Light’ (left) was released in the UK back in July, but it’s now appeared on Universal Music’s local release schedule. It’s currently due to drop on August 06.
* The forthcoming Winterbeatz R&B tour seems to be getting bigger – with Ne-Yo, T-Pain, Phinesse and DJ Nino Brown now being joined on the four date tour by Big Boi (Outkast) and Fatman Scoop.
* Alexandra Burke last night tweeted that she’s landed safely on our shores, but that she needed a little rest. We can’t begrudge her that after such a long flight.
* On last week’s US singles chart, Usher maintained his hold on the No.1 position with his track ‘OMG’. But he’ll be looking over his shoulder ’cause B.o.B. and Katy Perry are knocking on the door. Miley Cyrus’ new single ‘Can’t Be Tamed’ debuted at No.8.
* On the US album chart, the Glee Volume 3 soundtrack popped into the No.1 position (as it did here on the weekend). Rolling Stones’ ‘Exile On Main Street’ benefits from the anniversary repackage, rocketing back in at No.2. More top 10 debuts come from The Black Keys (No.3), Nas & Damian Marley (No.5), Band Of Horses (No.7) and LCD Soundsystem (No.10).
* In the UK this week, Dizzee Rascal debuts in the No.1 spot with his single ‘Dirtee Disco’, Iyaz debuts at No.4 with ‘Solo’, Eminem’s in at No.5 with ‘Not Afraid’ and N-Dubz & Bodyrox are in at No.6.
* And on the British albums chart, there’s a No.1 debut for Pendulum, a No.3 debut for Glee #3 and Katie Melua’s new LP ‘The House’ debuts in the No.4 position.
