News through just a short time ago is that Universal Music has just serviced the brand new Kelly Rowland track ‘Commander’ to Australian radio. The track is the first to be lifted from Kelly’s forthcoming third solo album, due for release in September.
David Guetta is once again on board in the producer role, with Rico Love on writing duties.
“It’s just such an aggressive record, it’s a club record, it’s a worldwide international record. She’s stretching her legs out and she’s showing her true vocal ability,” Rico says. “She’s like the queen of the night on this record.”
It’s due for digital release on May 21.

It IS even better than “When Love Takes Over”!

This song is ridiculously hot and much more danceable than WLTO, if you haven’t heard it – think ‘Sexy Bitch’.
I’d be surprised if this didn’t make the top 5, ’cause I can defo see this going #1.

Wow, this song is actually a really strong effort! I can’t wait for the release. It is so much better than “When Love Takes Over”, which was more of a commercially friendly ‘dance-pop’ track. This one moves away from that concept a little, and has an edgy and darker club vibe to it. Kelly and David took a risk, but this song is way tooo good not tooo be a hit. I am so happy that Kelly has moved away from the R&B sound and come into the dance world. Not to mention, her new sound really suits her well.

I’m so glad they’re rolling this out so soon! Auspop – this has made my day. Trust you to get the first word! ;-)
This song is ferocious! All other Guetta produced tracks should stand back and salute.
