What a massive few days it’s been for the Rogue Traders. Not only did they tear up the stage with their latest single ‘Would You Raise Your Hands’ at Sunday night’s Logie Awards (see it HERE), but they were the centre of a rather prestigious announcement over the weekend.
Rogue Traders have been chosen to perform the Socceroos team song that will provide a boost to the sports stars before they wing their way to South Africa to compete in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in July. But they’ve asked for the general public’s help in completing this new song – in a most unusual way.
They’re asking you to head down to selected Westfield Shopping Centres from this Thursday to Sunday (Thursday to Saturday in Perth) to record the sound of your heartbeat. Up to 100 heartbeats will then be chosen to be sonically part of the release.
Head to the following centres to lend your support (and your own unique rhythm);
Westfield Bondi, Westfield Liverpool, Westfield Fountain Gate, Westfield Carindale, Westfield Tee Tree Plaza and Westfield Carousel.
Meanwhile, the band’s postponed concert at Sydney’s Lyric Theatre has now been rescheduled – to Friday August 20 – and their new album ‘Night Of The Living Drums’ finally has a release date – Friday June 25.
