Here’s a new artist out of Canada who’s recently signed to the prestigious Island Def Jam label over in the US. And she’s got one of those desperately quirky voices that’s going to completely polarise the audience – you’re either going to fall in love with it or be tempted to throw the stereo across the room.
The subject matter of the single (and the clip) seems to be the singer falling into an emotional hole (i.e. ‘Tumblin’ Down’), but we’re big believers in fate – for example, if a waitress in a coffee shop drops a tray of dishes and you simply walk over the top of her without offering any assistance whatsoever, you’re gonna get that back in spades.
We doubt the song will have any chance on Australian radio.
