* New tracks to Australian radio this week include the comeback track for Devo called ‘Fresh’. It’s the lead single to be lifted from the band’s forthcoming album ‘Something For Everybody’.
* Also at radio this week include the previously revealed new track for Erika Heynatz, ‘Bullet’, Elbow’s new single ‘Mercy Street’, Mumford & Sons’ ‘Winter Winds’ and on the back of last week’s tour announcement, Owl City’s latest ‘Umbrella Beach’.
* Warner Music has announced via their latest release schedule that former Killing Heidi star Ella Hooper’s new band Verses will see their debut album ‘Seasons’ released in Australia on Friday August 13.
* With Crowded House’s highly anticipated new album ‘Intriguer’ hitting the shops this weekend, the band will perform live via satellite from London’s Hammersmith Apollo on this week’s ‘Hey Hey It’s Saturday’. They’re expected to perform the new single ‘Saturday Sun’ and one of the band’s classic tracks.* Some of Brisbane’s best and brightest up and coming bands have come together under the umbrella of new project ‘Sounds Like Brisbane’, a campaign aimed at getting some of the Queensland capital’s greatest local tunes out to the world. The just launched website (HERE) features heaps of goodies including free downloads.
* In the UK, it’s No.1 with a bullet for David Guetta with a little help from LMFAO, Chris Willis and Fergie this week, as their collaborative single ‘Gettin’ Over You’ rockets 40 places to claim the top spot. The highest debut for the week comes courtesy of Miley Cyrus – in at No.13 with her new track ‘Can’t Be Tamed’.
* And on the UK album chart, Jack Johnson’s scored himself a No.1 album with his latest ‘To The Sea’. Perth’s Pendulum saw their album drop from it’s debut of No.1 last week to No.4 this week, with a No.9 debut for the RAF Squadronaires.

Hey Auspop. Thanks by the way, for the 80’s CD suggestion. good stuff! Anyway, do you still have any word on forthcoming Sara Bareilles material? I heard her new song ‘King Of Anything’ on the internet a while ago now. It was terrific.
