EMI Australia has confirmed the local release of Röyksopp’s long-awaited companion to their pop album ‘Junior’, the instrumental album ‘Senior’.
The long-awaited new LP was recorded simultaneously with it’s pop predecessor ‘Junior’ and it is described by the band as “the introverted, dwelling and sometimes graceful counterpart, brimful with dark secrets and distorted memories, insisting “I’m old, I’ve got experience…”. ‘Senior’ is furthermore an album about age, horses and being subdued – with devils breathing down your neck.”
‘Senior’ was originally planned for release late last year, but the nine track LP (tracklist below) will finally be released locally on Friday September 10.
