• Australian Idol winner Stan Walker has used his Facebook page to reveal the official cover image for his new single ‘Choose You’ (pictured). In further good news for Stan’s fans, the planned August 20 release of the new single has been changed – brought forward by almost one month. Fans will now be able to buy the digital single on July 23, with a physical format hitting stores the Friday after.
• Lady Gaga is finally set to deliver ‘The Remix’ to her US audience. After releasing a string of brilliant single remix EPs stateside (the rest of the world could take a leaf, thanks), the singer will release ‘The Remix’ album – with the UK cover image – in the US on August 03.
• Warner Music Australia has announced a September release for the new Linkin Park album. Entitled ‘A Thousand Suns’, it’s expected at local retail on Friday September 10, with the lead single ‘The Catalyst’ set to hit radio on August 03.
• Inertia has announced an Australian-only deluxe edition of Miike Snow’s self-titled album. The new edition, released to co-incide with the trio’s appearance at Splendour In The Grass, features six bonus tracks including four remixes.
• Beyonce fans, lock out Saturday September 04 at midday in your diary, because MTV Classic will be celebrating Beyonce’s birthday with ‘B-Day’ – a four hour Beyonce-thon containing live footage, videos and a look back at the evolution of the pop star’s career from Destiny’s Child to now.
• Bon Jovi’s Melbourne stadium show (at the city’s Etihad Stadium) sold out within 24 hours of going on sale, but organisers yesterday confirmed that a select number of general reserve tickets had been added to cope with the demand. These tickets are on sale now.
• The most played track on Australian radio this week is Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls’. The highest placed Aussie artist is rockers Jet with their single ‘Seventeen’. It’s in the No.8 spot.
• Tennessee outfit Hot Chelle Rae will head into Channel 7’s The Morning Show on Monday morning to perform their new single ‘I Like To Dance’. They’ll hit your TV screens around 9:50am.
• Sony Music has also confirmed that Michael Paynter, whose new single ‘Love The Fall’ is impacting big time at local radio, will hit the Hey Hey It’s Saturday studio to perform the track on this Wednesday’s show.
• And in the United States, Katy Perry is still holding on to the top spot on the US singles chart with her track ‘California Gurls’. Eminem’s Rihanna duet is still gathering momentum in the No.2 spot, however, so how long can Katy keep him at bay? Taio Cruz has also scored himself a top ten hit with his single ‘Dynamite’.
• And on the Billboard 200, Eminem still holds firm, though with the third Twilight film now in the cinemas, its soundtrack has taken a bite out of the No.3 position. The-Dream debuts at No.4, while there’s also a top ten debut for 3OH!3 and their album ‘Streets Of Gold’ at No.7.

Is Australia going to follow up “Break Your Heart” with the US second single “Dynamite” or the UK second single “Dirty Picture”? I have heard both on radio.
