US pop superstar Katy Perry touched down in Sydney this afternoon, preparing for her one-off show for Debit Mastercard in Melbourne later this week.
But there’s another (slightly more delicious side) to Katy’s visit – she’s teamed up with ice cream retailer Baskin Robbins to offer free ice cream on Friday August 27 – co-incidentally the release date of Katy’s album. In what’s to be known as ‘Katy Perry Day’, Baskin Robbins will offer patrons a FREE cotton candy flavoured ice cream at any of their Sydney and Melbourne stores (apparently conditions apply and you should check with your local BR store for more details).
For those not lucky enough to bag a ticket to the Debit Mastercard show in Melbourne on Thursday night, Channel 7’s Sunrise will feature a special Katy live performance on Friday morning.

Hey Anonymous,
That’s the impression the press release gives us – though whether ‘live from Melbourne’ means that it was recorded live the previous night or not remains to be seen.
