We hinted last Wednesday that an announcement for an Aussie tour for Adam Lambert was imminent – in fact, we suggested that it would be “within the next ten days”, hinting that you’d hear something before the end of this week.
We also told you that the concerts would take place in between his commitments in Hong Kong and Hawaii, meaning a visit in the middle of October.
Triple M Sydney DJ Byron Cooke has this afternoon confirmed the news via his Twitter account, giving details of the venues for three shows – one each in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Adelaide and Perth fans seemingly miss out.
He states that in Sydney, fans will be at The Metro Theatre, in Melbourne it’s the Palace Theatre and in Brisbane it’ll be The Tivoli that will be packed to the rafters with Lambert love.
Chugg Entertainment is expected to make the official announcement, with full dates and ticket sale information, tomorrow.
(UPDATE 12/08/10 : We’re still waiting for Chugg to make the official announcement. There are also rumours flying around of a second Sydney date being added, but we’ve yet to have that confirmed.)

Hey Yvonne,
Here’s the latest;
Chugg Entertainment was due to announce the tour yesterday (Thursday). That date had been locked in for a couple of weeks.
The decision to hold off seems to have happened earlier this week.
We’ve also been told today that the dates that have been rumoured (October 19, 20 and 22 for Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane respectively) may have changed.
We can’t confirm this, but we’ve decided to be patient and wait for the official confirmation before posting any more.

Hi guys, Yesterday I emailed CHUGG and Ticketek but no answer from either one. Today I then went to the Ticketek outlet and they never had any information. This is like waiting for Xmas. I may have a look at Bandit and Sony tonight. Yvonne

Maybe Adelaide people could all travel together and share the expenses? Hire a small bus and go to more than 1 concert; it could be like Priscilla!!!
anyone know the dates yet.? Yvonne

YES I WOULD LIKE ADAM TO COME TO ADELAIDE. IF NOT I hope they consider the amount of people that will have to travel from interstate; plane fares, accomodation time off work etc.

Awesome! Thx : )

Correct.
‘Whataya Want From Me’ is heading towards double platinum sales at the moment.
If ‘If I Had You’ continues selling as it is, it will be classified platinum a week on Sunday.

blakkrrox says
Whataya Want From Me is platinum, and If I Had you is gold, so Adam’s popularity is very high.
If Adam’s able to release further singles from his For Your Entertainment album, there’s a good chance he will be able to get to No.1 here.
blakkrrox says
Thx. Whataya Want From Me is platinum, and If I Had you is gold; Adam has good MusicTV coverage in Oz.
If he’s releasing further singles from his For Your Entertainment album, there’s a good chance Adam will be able to get to No.1 in the charts here.
auspOp says
Hey Blakkrrox,
Adam’s physical sales in Australia are a long, long way away from 100,000 copies – closer to 20,000.
But his digital singles sales are now approaching the 200,000 mark.

Thx for the info
As far as I’m concerned, this is a whistlestop tour to gauge his popularity here. The tour will sell out and Adam’s next Oz tour should have larger venues to accommodate his fast-growing fanbase.
Adam’s FYE album was released in Oz in March 2010. His physical music sales would be well over 100k here; plus there’s the downloaded music & videos, which need to be taken into account. The fan figures will be higher than people are estimating right now.
Oz will love Adam’s tours : )
