Lady Gaga is the big winner in the nominations list for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, announced overnight Australian time. She heads up the list of nominees this year with an incredible 13 nods – the most ever by a single artist in any one year.
Such is Gaga’s dominance this year that she’s competing against herself in a few categories, including the coveted ‘Video Of The Year’, where she’s nominated for both ‘Bad Romance’ and ‘Telephone’.
In addition to these gongs, she’s also up for a further five awards for her collaboration with Beyonce on the clip for her single ‘Video Phone’. The main categories are below, with winners in a further seven professional categories also to be decided.
They’ll all be unveiled at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on September 12.
