You may remember the sale of the sad implosion of the relationship between Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow during the heady days of the five piece Take That back in the mid 1990s. It was Rob’s ultimate departure from the band that was the catalyst for them dissolving and going their separate ways the day before Valentines Day in 1996.
Cue the public spats between Gary and Robbie, the former seemingly having the upper hand as his pop career took off, while Robbie’s struggled. But then one little song (‘Angels’) changed it all. Robbie’s career was insurmountable, Gary’s floundered, and still the insults flew.
Fast forward more than a decade and Rob and Gaz have finally put all the negativity behind them – and in plenty of respects, ‘Shame’ is an ode to all the times they didn’t share, all the times they never celebrated each others successes, professional or private. It’s a bittersweet ode to a friendship lost – and once again found. And for anyone who’s followed the TT trajectory over the course of many years, it’s all rather moving.

auspOp, If I was a horse and saw these two coming over the mountain I’d be running away, probably were the other horses are. To cold for a tent.?

they look like 2 geriatrics at Broke Back Mountain who have had a lovers tiff. Come on where’s the Robbie that was performing at AAMI? don’t worry about GB he can look after himself. Bring back the old Robbie. Yvonne

Robbie is like a black widow, he’ll stab Gary during climax with an ice pick Sharon Stone style once in bed.
I don’t believe Robbie’s new found love for Gary whatsoever. Funny him accepting the TT reunion offer only after his lastest crap album didn’t sell well.
He’s treated TT like some ‘childhood trauma’ the last 15 years and I don’t buy this turnaround for a second.

I cannot wait for the single. I have feelings this will be hit the chart with nice number.
