We’ve been meaning to plop this up since the clip premiered last week, but given the team at Parlophone in the UK don’t provide embed codes, we’ve searched for another official avenue. So thanks to EMI, here ’tis.
It’s single No.2 from Kylie’s album ‘Aphrodite’ and this is pure, disco-dancing, heavenly Kylie pop. ‘Get Outta My Way’ was the obvious choice for second single from the album, and the video that accompanies it takes Kylie back to familiar territory, with what looks like visual influences from ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’, ‘Spinning Around’ and ‘Slow’.
She’s got a fab pair of light-up gloves (we gotta get ourselves a pair of those for wherever we go…), some handsome semi-dressed men (we gotta get ourselves a pair of those for wherever we go) and a selection of moves that some media observers have compared to those from Aussie performance company Chunky Move.
There’s a bit of the ‘Vogue’s about this, with Kylie even striking a pose later in the clip, but we have to say, this whole robotic dance thing is really starting to get a bit long in the tooth. What happened to the choreography she performed on both ‘Hey Hey It’s Saturday’ here in Australia and on Alan Carr’s ‘Chatty Man’ over in the UK?
They were high-energy, fluid dance moves that perfectly encapsulated the joy the song evokes.

AMAZING video! – Adore it!
Just one question…Is that an official cover…because I’ve never seen it before and I ADORE IT!

Hmmm…it’s nice. Nothing groundbreaking though.
My vision for the video was quite comical and literal with Kylie playing her “boring” guy off against a “fun” guy. Oh well…
