PWL REPACKAGES KEEP COMING

It all kicked off in March last year, when independent UK label Cherry Pop Records re-released three classic long-out-of-print PWL albums to an eager audience. Lonnie Gordon, Mandy Smith and Princess all enjoyed deluxe repackages of their old records. Since then, it would seem that everything old is new again, with a swag of classic Stock Aitken Waterman LPs getting the deluxe re-release treatment.
Edsel jumped on the bandwagon, re-releasing Rick Astley’s two PWL albums with swags of bonus tracks and remixes earlier this year, then earlier this month they whacked out deluxe editions of Jason Donovan’s ‘Ten Good Reasons’ and ‘Between The Lines’.
Cherry Pop has also re-issued the Big Fun album ‘Pocketful Of Dreams’, and later this month will plop out extended versions of Sonia’s ‘Everybody Knows’ and Boy Krazy’s eponymous LP.
They’ve also revealed details of a forthcoming deluxe edition of Mel & Kim’s classic album ‘FLM’. The new edition features heaps of bonus remixes, extended versions, and other tracks that weren’t available on the original album.
‘FLM’ is to be released in the UK on October 18.
