We heard a little bit of the music of Melbourne duo Gypsy & The Cat when our peeps at Sony Music sent through a little sampler of their work early last month – and we’ve liked very much what we’ve heard thus far. Which is why news that the band is heading out onto the road to give punters a taste of what to expect when their debut album ‘Gilgamesh’ comes out early in the new year, has been met with such excitement.
The boys (Lionel and Xavier) were signed to Sony’s UK label RCA and have drawn inspiration from some of their musical idols including Jeff Buckley and Fleetwood Mac to the other end of the spectrum (Daft Punk, Justice).
Tickets for the shows are on sale now, so catch them at one of the following, or this summer’s Parklife Festivals.
