It’s been a rather big 24 hours for Katy Perry, with at least one announcement that will affect her Aussie fans. Firstly she pops off to India and marries her boyfriend Russell Brand in a ceremony in Rajasthan and then confirms that she’s headed to our shores next year for an Australian tour, though we’re still yet to hear from Michael Coppel for the official announcement.
She’s been a regular visitor down under she stole the No.1 singles spot with her track ‘I Kissed A Girl’ a couple of years back – but this time around, she’s enough of a superstar creating enough of a demand to be able to move up from theatres to arenas, and she’ll make stops in four of the five major centres as part of her ‘California Dreams’ tour (strangely Perth misses out).
Naturally, she’ll be performing all her hits – including ‘California Gurls’, ‘Teenage Dream’, ‘Hot N Cold’, ‘Thinking Of You’, ‘Waking Up In Vegas’ and her new single ‘Firework’.
Tickets for all dates are on sale on Thursday November 04.
