Young Queensland country starlet Stephanie Brownlee has impressed many in radio circles with her previous three singles. She successfully melds the worlds of country and pop with a fresh, upbeat vibe in much the same way Shania Twain did when she burst into the mainstream charts here in Australia in the mid 1990s.
Her album ‘Keep It Real’ hit the top ten of the ARIA country charts – and each of the singles thus far (‘Keep It Real’, ‘Good Friend Girlfriend’ & ‘That Kind Of Day’) have achieved success on the Country Music Channel and airplay on country stations across Australia.
But it’s her new pop crossover track that she’s most excited to share.
“I chose Something to Cry About as the fourth single because I felt like it was the right time for the most powerful emotional song off the album,” the singer says. “Most people will relate to the lyrics in this song, especially girls. I feel really strong about this song and it really hits home with me after a recent fragile relationship and break-up…but in saying that, it also really rocks along and I love doing it live.”
The track was sent to radio on Monday, but we thought we’d let you get a load of it. Check it out on our Soundcloud link below, find out more about Stephanie at her OFFICIAL WEBSITE and catch her at three in-store appearances – kicking off at Sanity Toombul in Brisbane tomorrow afternoon at 1pm.
