You’ll probably know Danger Mouse as one half of the amazing Gnarls Barkley (alongside current chart star Cee Lo Green). You might also know him as the super-producer behind the Gorillaz’ second album ‘Demon Days’ or perhaps as one half of Broken Bells, who released their debut eponymous LP earlier this year.
Whatever you know him as, he’s teamed up with Italian composer Daniele Luppi to present a new album called ‘Rome’, due for release early in the new year.
Recorded in glorious analogue (with, we might add, no electronics, no computers, no 21st century effects and no studio trickery), the LP ropes in the talents of Jack White from The White Stripes and glorious jazz chanteuse Norah Jones.
Described as “a fully realised album, perfectly formed and hauntingly beautiful”, the album’s one to watch out for when it drops at Australian retail on Friday February 25.
