Here’s something a little bit different from US R&B star Keri Hilson, who releases her brand new album ‘No Boys Allowed’ here in Australia early in the new year. The second single proper from the new LP is a bouncy mid-tempo number with plenty of keys and beats that has a repetitive if not catchy chorus.
The clip is the star here though, as the singer takes us through a myriad of different eras and set-ups. From the early silent-film-esque 1920s through the glamorous screen siren ’40s and ’50s, the iconic girlband look of the ’60s (think ‘Dreamgirls’), the Diana Ross big-haired disco era of the ’70s and even a very big nod to Janet Jackson’s ‘Rhythm Nation’, the clip’s got it all. But it doesn’t stop there – there’s even a TLC-esque ’90s bit before we get to the ‘now’ with Keri looking casual and no less amazing in white top, jeans and some bling. Cleverly done.
