The re-addition of Robbie Williams to the line-up of British outfit Take That certainly seems to have paid dividends with a record number of tickets being snapped up for their ‘Progress Live 2011’ tour on Friday. More than one million tickets to their UK shows were snapped up in less than 24 hours, the band being forced to add additional dates to the schedule.
In the meantime, both single and album release have been brought forward in Britain to cope with demand.
In Australia, releases will be staggered over the next month, with the single ‘The Flood’ hitting digital retail from Friday. The video will hit iTunes on Friday November 12, with a digital single proper out on November 19.
The album ‘Progress’ has followed the UK lead, and will now be released in Australia one week earlier – on Friday November 19.
And a DVD entitled ‘Look Back, Don’t Stare : A Film About Progress’ will be released in Australia on Friday December 03, so plenty for us Aussies to have crammed into our Christmas stockings.
Take That’s single ‘The Flood’ was serviced to local radio yesterday.

“The Flood” is by far the best Take That single since “Never Forget” – and that was 15 years ago! I just hope the rest of the album matches up.
