• As you’re probably aware, the boys from The Temper Trap were the first to hit the stage of the fab new Live At The Chapel venue – St.Stephen’s Church in Newtown – late last month for the first in what’s set to be a big year of the infamous series in 2011. If you weren’t one of the chosen few lucky enough to be in the audience for the gig, don’t fear – Channel 9 will screen the show nationally at midnight tomorrow night. It’ll also hit Channel [V] on Friday night at 11:30pm, followed by repeat performances on GO! on December 19 (11:30pm) and Channel [V] on December 23 (8:30pm).

Now that the band is back on the road and in the studio working on new material, Sony has released ‘The Murmur Years 1997-2002’ – the three albums the band released back in the late ’90s and early ’00s while signed to Murmur. They are ‘Slightly Odway’, ‘Of Someday Shambles’ and ‘Jebediah’. ‘The Murmur Years 1997-2002’ is available digitally now, while the band’s new album is due for release in 2011.
• And despite a lack of serious airplay (and Sony making us wait for WEEKS to buy it), one of our favourite pop songs of the year – Alexis Jordan’s ‘Happiness’ – is slowly rising up the iTunes chart. It’s almost into the top 20, and radio (we’re talking to you 2Day Network…) – like it or not, this one’s gonna be a summer hit.
