Hey may have been the runner-up to Wes Carr in the 2008 version of Australian Idol, but country singer songwriter Luke Dickens has been anything but idle since the competition, releasing his debut album ‘Underdog’ and gearing up for the release of a new single and his appearance at the Country Music Awards in Tamworth.
But early this month, the singer will also embark on a mission to bring a little joy to our troops overseas, visiting Egypt as part of the Forces Entertainment Tour.
“Being able to be a part of Forces Entertainment has been one of the most humble and inspiring things I have ever done. I am so excited to give the troops a taste of home at Christmas and can’t wait for the shows and to meet more of our great Aussie soldiers,” said the singer of the impending visit.
Luke’s new single ‘Underdog’ (also the title track of his album) hits radio on Monday December 13 ahead of a commercial digital release on Friday January 07.
