MARCIA HINES : Rain (Let The Children Play)
After an absence of 12 years from our charts, former disco queen and Australian Idol judge Marcia Hines inked a brand new deal with Warner Music in the early 1990s and came back with this rather beautiful and inspiring track, the lead single from her album ‘Right Here and Now’.
And though ‘Rain (Let The Children Play)’ wasn’t a massive chart success, barely scraping into the Aussie top 50, it did introduce Marcia to an entirely new audience that would just five years later see her in the charts again with the Mark Picchiotti-produced dance/pop gem ‘Time Of Our Lives’.
Quite possibly the most simple video you’ll ever clap your eyes on with hardly a set-up change in sight, there IS a costume change, there’s a key change and a money note and there’s Marcia looking truly incredible.
