Shock Records has kicked off what we’re anticipating will be an otherwise quiet week in the world of pop by announcing the local release of three new albums early in the new year. The first of which is the long-awaited debut LP by British indie-pop outfit Fenech-Soler (pictured). The band will hit our shores early in the new year to play the national Good Vibrations festivals and will release the album here on Friday February 18.
Also releasing their latest long player early next year through Shock is Gomez singer songwriter Ben Ottewell. His debut album is called ‘Shapes and Shadows’ and is also set for a local release in February. Says the singer of his solo project, “I’ve been wanting to do something outside of Gomez for a while but I took my time to ensure that the material had a voice of its own.” It’s out on February 11.And the final album in the trilogy of Shock’s upcoming new releases is the new LP for Welsh outfit Attack! Attack! The album, the band’s second, is entitled ‘The Latest Fashion’ (pictured) and will feature eleven new recordings including the lead single ‘Blood On My Hands’. It’s also due in Australia on Friday February 11.
