As we count down to the release of one of Sony Music’s ‘Essentials’ packages for Aussie group Bachelor Girl (which is rumoured to include never before heard material from the band’s unreleased third album), band frontwoman Tania Doko is forging ahead with a variety of solo singing and writing projects, the latest of which is a remix of ‘Joyride’ – a track that originally featured in the 2010 movie ‘Step Up 3D’.
Tania’s fans have been petitioning long and hard for the King Cutter remix’s release, and she’s thrilled to announce that the track is now available on iTunes HERE.
It was remixed by her She Said Yes bandmate Karl Lewis and features a guest rap by ‘Twin Atoms’ – an anagram of another Aussie pop singer.
Meanwhile, Tania has co-penned the forthcoming debut single proper for German X Factor winner Edita Abdieski.
Called ‘The Key’, it was written with Swedish songwriting god Jörgen Elofsson and is the first track to be lifted from Edita’s debut album.
Jörgen is the man behind some fab pop songs across the past decade, including Guy Sebastian’s ‘Angels Brought Me Here’, Britney’s ‘(You Drive Me) Crazy’, Westlife’s ‘If I Let You Go’, the global megahit ‘A Moment Like This’ (Leona Lewis and Kelly Clarkson) and songs for Robyn, Same Difference, Geri Halliwell, Steps, Agnes, Celine Dion and The Saturdays among others.
‘The Key’ is set for release in Germany on March 04.
‘Joyride’ is available on iTunes globally now.
