We smell a hit. Jennifer Lopez’s new single ‘On The Floor’ may have only been on sale domestically for a little over 24 hours, but already it’s found favour with the Australian record buying public. It shot to No.3 this morning on the local iTunes chart and remains there this afternoon, bettered only by Rihanna’s ‘S&M’ and Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’.
Universal has today announced that the video for ‘On The Floor’ will have its global premiere on next week’s episode of American Idol.
Aussie fans will be able to catch it exclusively on Fox8 on Friday March 04 from 7:30pm.
Jennifer’s new album ‘Love?’ is due later this year.

Oh and Patrick Stump’s EP is on iTunes, saw it there this morning, it sounded crap though going by the previews :(

Sooooo happy this is exploding worldwide. It’s already #1 in 5 countries after 24 hours of sale and is sitting at #2 in Australia!
This is possibly her best single to date, up there with Waiting For Tonight :)

I’m honestly massively surprised by the success of this song, it’s just *okay* to me. But on the flipside, I’m happy that JLo is back on the chart.

I predicted that this would be a big hit the first time I heard it, but someone at another forum told me I was crazy and that it would be a flop. Shows how much they know about pop music ;-)

It’s a great slice of summer pop and samples the 1990 hit Lambada by Kaoma, I was hooked on the 1st listen. I think she’ll have a huge hit with this…It could go #1 easily. Great song.
