It was always anticipated that tickets to the Foo Fighter’s fundraisers in both Auckland and Brisbane would be highly sought after. And they have been, with Frontier Touring confirming moments ago that both dates have now officially sold out.
The Brisbane show – to be held this Sunday – went on sale at 9am today and within just 15 minutes, the entire allocation of tickets was gone.
Frontier boss Michael Gudinski was understandably excited by the result saying, “I knew the tickets would sell within minutes. For those that have secured tickets I’m confident this will be one of the most special shows they will ever see.
“The Foo Fighters were so keen to help those affected by the disasters in Queensland and Christchurch so they’re going to be very happy with this result,” he said in a statement.
A final allocation of 200 tickets for the Brisbane show will be released on Friday at 9am Brisbane time.
All profits from the Brisbane concert will go to the Queensland Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal and all profits from the Auckland concert will go to the New Zealand Government’s Christchurch Earthquake Appeal.
