Singer, dancer, actor. It’s what’s known in the industry as a ‘triple threat’. So enter triple threat Jessie Malakouti, the star performer in US outfit Jessie & The Toy Boys, who decided to leave the delights of southern California behind to immerse herself in the world of UK pop.
Feeding on the influences, Jessie brought together a series of numbers (4 1/2, 12, 25, 73) to play in a band and the rest is history.
Enter the group’s debut single ‘Push It’ – a pop/dance gem that’s right on trend, falling stylistically somewhere between Ke$ha’s ‘We R Who We R’ and Britney’s ‘Hold It Against Me’. In that respect, it should work.
In the clip, it’s obvious that Jessie has run clean out of fresh underwear, so she’s popped down to the local laundromat. Obviously, the machine must be taking much longer than she thought, so what else is she supposed to do but create a music video.
The good news too is that the track (and a few remixes) is available through our local iTunes store (HERE).
