Whether you’re a fan of morning television with its endless infomercials or not, it’s difficult not to love Channel 10’s offering ‘The Circle’. The four girls (Chrissie, Yumi, Denise and Gorgi) gel brilliantly together on screen, providing hours of mirth and mayhem every week with not an ounce of pretentiousness to be found.
No wonder, then, that Chrissie’s the hot favourite to take out this year’s Logie Award for the best new talent.
If you’re a regular follower of the show, you’ll have marvelled as the girls took you on a semi-regular musical journey into the worlds of, for example, B-BAD and K-CAD (Boy Band Appreciation Day and Key Change Appreciation Day for the uninitiated).
So naturally, they had to come up with their own compilation album, announced on the show this morning.
‘Music From The Circle’ brings together 38 of the girls’ favourite songs from across the years, including tracks that have featured in their ‘appreciation days’.
Also included is their own track called ‘Circle Song’ – co-penned by Yumi and Aussie singer Clare Bowditch.
The compilation will also raise $5000 for Children’s Hospital Foundations Australia and for a taste of what to expect, hit the clip below.
‘Music From The Circle’ hits shelves on Friday April 08.
The Circle airs weekdays at 10am on Network 10.
