PARADISE OSKAR : Da Da Dam
He may be just 20 years of age, but young Axel Ehnström is carrying the hopes of his entire country on his shoulders as he goes in to bat for Finland at the first semi final of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest.
Under his performance name of Paradise Oskar, Axel won the approval of his fellow countrymen and women through Finland’s Euroviisut 2011 competition with his own composition ‘Da Da Dam’.
The track is a simple ballad with piano and guitar instrumentation. It tells the story of a man who wishes to go out and attempt to save our dying planet. The video clip (below) is a little on the budget side, filmed in what looks to be a small hot house. We like the idea, but we’re not sure that we like the song enough to give it our tick of approval for the grand final.
