DINO MERLIN : Love In Rewind
While most of the contestants at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest are barely out of their teens, the people of Bosnia & Herzegovina have chosen someone slightly older. And at 48 years of age, singer Dino Merlin is one of the older contestants in this year’s field.
He’s reportedly described his entry ‘Love In Rewind’ as being about people in the middle of their lives.
The track itself is a likeable mid-tempo stomper that comes complete with a sing-along chorus and some rather lovely harmonies and instrumentation provided by his back-up musicians.
As for Dino himself, we’re really liking the timbre in his voice. How he’ll stack up on stage in the midst of all the younger performers remains to be seen, but we’ll see him on our screens as part of semi-final No.2, screening on SBS on Saturday May 14.
And don’t forget that the ace team at EMI has given us five copies of the official 2011 Eurovision Song Contest double album to give away! Click on the giveaway link in the right hand sidebar for all the details on how to enter!
