Some fans of American Idol may remember young Kimberley Locke from the second season of the evergreen TV series. She eventually placed third in the 2003 competition behind Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard and went on to sign a record deal with Curb Records.
A top 20 hit followed with ‘8th World Wonder’ and over the course of the past seven years, she’s gone on to release three albums and has enjoyed success on the US adult contemporary and dance charts with tracks including a cover of ‘Band Of Gold’ – the Freda Payne track she performed during the show (check the very kitsch Almighty remix on iTunes).
Now with her sights firmly set on the dancefloor, Kimberley is giving fans around the world the chance to vote for what should be her next single, giving punters three choices via her Facebook page. The most popular will be chosen as the next Kimberley Locke single which, we’re assured by her publicist, will be given a global release, so her fans in Australia will also be given the chance to buy it.
You can make your vote count HERE.
