Nicole Scherzinger spent the first part of the ‘Killer Love’ album project over in the UK, seducing the Brits with her singles ‘Poison’ and ‘Don’t Hold Your Breath’.
Here in Australia, her debut could very well have been poison ’cause radio here all but ignored it. ‘Don’t Hold Your Breath’, however, has found itself in the ARIA top 20 after the Nova Network (to their credit) took a punt on it.
But in the US, the album project is about to get underway with the first single Stateside ‘Right There’.
Featuring the rapping talents of 50 Cent (who’s blissfully absent in the video), the track is downtempo and a lot more skewed in the R&B/pop direction than the two aforementioned Aussie/UK singles.
Cleverly, she’s decided that she should have backing dancers in the official video (below), which will presumably get the Americans thinking that the Pussycat Dolls are still around and hotter than ever.
Nic also borrows one of Alexis Jordan’s moving footpath props.
