Gold Coast singer songwriter Brioni Faith was sick of being stuck in a dead-end waitressing job that didn’t allow her the time to indulge her real passion.
So she found a job that would, and after a year and a half of blood, sweat, tears, the accumulation of plenty of ‘hardware’ and a little persistence, she’s just released her trance-infused debut single ‘Falling’.
And to prove that she’s more than just a pretty face, she’s also recorded the track (as well as other material from her forthcoming debut album) in French in an attempt to capture the European market.
“Falling was written at a major turning point in my life,” she says of the track. “I’d just come out of a long term relationship, so in the beginning it was all about feeing lost. The beautiful thing was that as I worked on it, the song evolved and it became more about embracing the beauty, freedom and the connection with yourself that comes out of feeling lost.”
