By gad, Beyonce’s dropped the fierceness of her previous video outing (‘Run The World (Girls)’) and appears softer, more feminine – and in her smalls for the opening sequences of the clip for her new single ‘Best Thing I Never Had’. It’s like glancing into the pages of a Victoria’s Secret catalogue.
But as the clip develops, we see that it’s actually a big day for Queen B, as she frocks up rather spectacularly for a big event. Let’s not give it away, but suffice to say, the song and its clip are intended as a big, bold middle finger for a past lover who done her wrong and didn’t realise that she was in fact the best thing they never had.

B looks gorgeous, but the video seems a bit empty. It spends half the song just on B and not enough on the actual story. I reckon she could’ve done so much more with this song, but she probably blew her budget on the Run The World video clip.
