After poaching their incredible back catalogue from long-time label EMI, Universal Music wasted no time in re-releasing all of Queen’s classic albums.
The first batch was released back in March, along with a companion release entitled ‘Deep Cuts’, which aimed to highlight some of the often overlooked tracks from the first five albums.
The second batch dropped in June, and again a ‘Deep Cuts’ album was released in conjunction with the back catalogue albums.
Now Universal Music has confirmed the final catch of five albums will be released in September.
1984’s ‘The Works’ featured the single ‘Radio Ga Ga’ (the song that inspired the naming of a certain ‘lady’), as well as the inimitable ‘I Want To Break Free’. ‘A Kind Of Magic’ followed in 1986 and included the title track (also the LP’s lead single).
‘The Miracle’, ‘Innuendo’ and ‘Made In Heaven’ were all to follow across the next decade and each will also be re-released.
Along with the last five albums, the final piece to the ‘Deep Cuts’ puzzle – volume 3 (pictured) – will hit retail, again highlighting some of the lesser-known gems from the Queen catalogue.
All six LPs will be released to retail in Australia on Friday September 02.
