We’re sure that touring company Abstract Entertainment (responsible for recently bringing Belinda Carlisle down under and for bringing Taylor Dayne to us this year) wouldn’t bring Keren and Sara all the way to Australia without adding in extra shows outside of Victoria, but thus far, the Bananarama girls have locked in three shows in Victoria during a visit in October.
They’ll be playing their smash hits including ‘Venus’, ‘I Want You Back’, ‘I Heard A Rumour’, ‘Love In The First Degree’ and many more during their visit.
So far, however, it’s just the three shows – and they’re all in Victoria;
October 27 : South Morang (Commercial Hotel)
October 28 : Doncaster (Shoppingtown Hotel)
October 29 : Chelsea (Chelsea Heights Hotel)
* We’ve since had reports that these dates are incorrect and out by one week – we’ve just been going off the touring company’s website HERE.

Hey Anonymous,
We’ve been trying to get information out of Abstract Entertainment for a couple of days now, sending emails and leaving phone messages. Thus far nothing.

Very keen for them to come to Brisbane – auspOp can you ask the promoters if there are any further shows on the cards yet? – Dan

I’m willing to bet that they’ll play Twin Towns (Tweed Heads/Gold Coast) – I saw Belinda Carlise there (she was brilliant and had the audience eating out of her hand!) and I’ve just booked tickets to see Taylor Dane at the same venue, so it’s only logical that the promoters will see this as the place to bring Bananarama. It’s a really popular venue with big names from the 80s (I saw Cyndi Lauper there 7 years ago, although she’s played multiple shows at the much bigger QPAC theatre in Brisbane on her two most recent tours, so I doubt she’ll return to Twin Towns in the near future). Fingers crossed! I would love to see Bananarama!!
