• A slightly quieter week on the new tracks to radio front this week – US DJ Wolfgang Gartner’s new single ‘Forever’ featuring Will.I.Am has hit the airwaves, with new tracks by Mann, The Chemical Brothers and Tonight Alive also at local radio.
• Universal Music will release Dolly Parton’s new LP ‘Better Days’ in Australia on August 26. The singer arrives in Australia later this year for her ‘Better Days’ tour – the first time in more than 30 years that she’s toured here.
• Speaking of Universal, according to their latest release schedule, the iconic Ministry Of Sound ‘The Annual’ is just a few months away. It’s currently due to drop on Friday October 28.
• The peeps behind Kylie’s ‘The Goddess Edition’ book has confirmed that its release has been delayed slightly after changes were asked for by Kylie herself, but they say that fans should have it in their hands “by the end of July”.
• Zoe Badwi has given her fans a little taste of two more tracks from her forthcoming album ‘Zoe’. You can check both of them out on her YouTube channel, including the rather ace ‘Until You’re Over Me’ HERE.• UK electro artist Goldie has lent his talents to the latest FabricLive compilation (pictured). Volume 58, to be released on July 29, comes ahead of an Australian visit by the performer. He’ll play Perth, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne starting on September 16.
• Remember back in May when former US Idol star Kimberley Locke was asking fans to vote on which track they thought should be her new single? The decision has been made – and it’s ‘Finally Free’. It will be included on the singer’s new EP, which will be released globally via iTunes on July 19.
• On the UK charts this week, DJ Fresh with Sian Evans have debuted atop the singles chart with their single ‘Louder’. New at No.2 is Loick Essien ftg. Tanya Lacey with ‘How We Roll’. Last week’s No.1 (Jason Derulo) drops down to No.5, while Adele’s ‘Set Fire To The Rain’ is headed for the top ten.
• And on the UK album chart, Beyonce holds on for a second week in the top spot with her album ‘4’ and the week’s highest new entry comes at No.13 courtesy of British soul songstress Beverley Knight with her new LP ‘Soul UK’.
