It’s been almost 30 years since they announced such an extensive run of dates, but Jimmy Barnes, Ian Moss and the remaining boys have today announced a national tour for iconic Aussie outfit Cold Chisel.
Entitled the ‘Light The Nitro Tour’, it will kick off in Newcastle in mid-October, racing around the country to play in everything from arenas to vineyards (the latter for ‘A Day On The Green’ events) before popping across the ditch for shows in Wellington and Auckland.
24 Aussie shows have been announced all up, wrapping up in Adelaide – where the band was formed in the early 1970s.
Today’s announcement co-incides with the band’s back catalogue being made available digitally for the very first time. Shop-front retailers are also receiving stock of the remastered and repackaged albums that come complete with a DVD.
You Am I will provide support for all dates. Tickets are on sale on Thursday August 04.
