Hey Anonymous,
Unfortunately, CD singles really don’t exist in many places in the world anymore. Here in Australia, the most recent examples of CD singles would be Vanessa Amorosi’s ‘Gossip’ (released as an exclusive via her record company website), Kylie’s ‘Put Your Hands Up’, Stan Walker’s ‘Loud’ (virtually released for promotional purposes) and Jess Mauboy’s ‘What Happened To Us’ (released via an SMS promotion).
The physical format died here when retailers stopped stocking them.
To that end, we’re 99% sure there won’t be a physical single of Kelly Clarkson’s new tune.
There are a few CD singles in our banner up top, yes.
Cher Lloyd, Jessie J and The Saturdays come from the UK, Cee Lo Green, Britney, Rihanna, Alex Gaudino, Beyonce, Robyn, Lady Gaga and Melanie C come from Germany and the maxi single of Judas comes from the US.

Why are singles no longer distributed in Australia?
Will there be a physical release of Kelly Clarkson’s new single?
Are there any stores that still stock singles?
Where do you guys get your singles? **the banner up top shows a couple singles?
auspOp says
Hey Mitchell,
No, according to the Universal press release which went out with the single to media, the track will be released digitally on Friday.

Hi!
I was wondering, will Jessie J’s newest single “Domino” be released to Australia’s iTunes store tomorrow (30/8/2011)?
Thanks!
-Mitchell

Hey Anonymous and Shannon,
Nothing on either album for Australia just yet (hence them not being on our new release schedule). Universal’s latest schedule is due today or tomorrow, so we’ll keep our eyes peeled on that for you.

Shannon says
Hey ausp0p,
Do you know if Australia will be releasing Inna’s new album “I Am The Club Rocker”?
Thanks
-Shannon

Any news on if Alexandra Stan’s “Saxobeats” will be released here? The album is released September 9th in Europe.
auspOp says
Hey Anonymous,
We don’t like your chances – her previous album wasn’t released here (we bought ours in Hong Kong from memory), so we highly doubt her new one will.
Probably safest to import it.

Hi there!
Will Lights’ album ‘Siberia’ be released on physical CD here? I know it will be released digitally worldwide on the 4th of October and physically in Canada and the U.S.
auspOp says
Hey Anonymous,
Apologies – according to this week’s Sony release schedule, Gavin’s album is definitely out on September 23.

hi
just wondering when Gavin Degraw album is out the 2nd or 23rd of september it’s on the release list twice.
auspOp says
Oh and hey Rhys again,
With Nicole, the only difference we can see on the tracklisting is the inclusion of the Nicole/50 Cent version of ‘Right Here’ tacked on the end.
The auspOp team
auspOp says
Hey Rhys,
Okay, the official line from Universal re: the re-emergence of Rihanna on the schedule is…
“There had to be a minor edit made to one of the tracks on a mastering level (a miniscule change, people probably won’t even notice the difference), but because of the edit, it needs to be given a new catalogue number & barcode so we can tell the difference.”
We’ll therefore remove it from the schedule.
The auspOp team
Rhys says
Ok thanks for that. Also, do you know if the version they’re releasing will be the one that’s already out, or the American version she’s going to release?
Thanks again
auspOp says
Hey Rhys,
1. Nicole’s album was given a very ‘soft’ release exclusively via JB Hifi stores early this year (March) to prevent the loss of sales on import, but the official Australian release is next Friday.
2. We tried to find out more details about the Rihanna repackage last night, but have so far been unable to.
As soon as we know, there’ll be a story. There appears to be a standard and CD/DVD edition, however.
The auspOp team
Rhys says
I have 2 questions for you guys.
1. Why do you have Nicole’s “Killer Love” on there? It has been out since like July and I already own it… That’s a little confusing…
And
2. What’s the revised version of Rihanna’s “Loud” album?
