As we hinted at this morning, the Seven Network has today confirmed that the TV talent competition The X Factor will premiere next Monday night at 7:30pm.
The show will continue four nights a week over the premiere week, as the four judges (Ronan Keating, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Guy Sebastian and Mel B – pictured, top) try to unearth some of the best vocal talent in the country.
Also on board for the 2011 series will be some of the globe’s biggest music stars in a mentoring capacity, with Beyonce, The Veronicas, Darren Hayes, Melanie C, Wynter Gordon (pictured below with Guy Sebastian), Good Charlotte, Jason Derulo and Leona Lewis all sharing screen time.
This year the competition has been opened up to performers from just 14 years of age – and as always, competitors will be split into the four groups – boys under 25, girls under 25, the over 25s and the groups.
The X Factor Australia premieres on the 7 Network on Monday August 29 at 7:30pm.

Yikes!
Thanks Rhys. Not sure whether she will or not, but she’d be mad not to release it here – even if it’s just digitally – given the interest that will be generated by the show.

There’s a bit of a typo. It’s Mel B thats mentoring. Not Mel C. Speaking of Mel C, do you guys know if she’s going to come to Australia to promote “Think About It”?
