It hasn’t taken long for her to do it, but Barbadian superstar Rihanna has hit No.1 on the Australian iTunes store with her new single ‘We Found Love’.
The track is the first to be lifted from her forthcoming new album (rumoured to be titled ‘Unlocked’) and has been steadily climbing the iTunes chart since its release late last week.
‘We Found Love’ features the production talents of Calvin Harris and it’s been reported that Rihanna filmed the video for the single in Ireland just yesterday.
Will she have sold enough to knock Gotye off the No.1 position on this Sunday’s ARIA chart? Keep your eye on our brand new weekly Chart Watch each Sunday morning at 8am for all the details!
Rihanna’s sixth studio album is set to be released in Australia on Friday November 18.

At least we finally have a song that has become a threat to Goyte! Having the same song at #1 for weeks and weeks is so boring! I mean, the #1 song on the UK Chart changes weekly or if not, fortnightly at the most. Do people seriously buy 40 copies of ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ a day or something, because it’s gotten quite ridiculous..

I don’t think she’ll be number one on this Sunday’s ARIA charts. Its Tuesday so I think its too late. The song is quite catchy I like it. But its simple and so generic techno pop. I feel like she should take a break because now she’s just becoming overated lol.
