Fans of British soul singer Sade and her extraordinary band which also bears her name are being advised this morning that changes are afoot with the band’s forthcoming Australian tour, set down for early December.
According to touring agent Michael Coppel, “the scale of the touring production and staging requirements has now increased to the extent that it will not be possible to present the show in the winery venues originally announced.”
Therefore, the shows at Leconfield Wines in South Australia, Kings Park & Botanic Gardens in Perth, the Hope Estate Winery in the Hunter Valley and at Rochford Wines in the Yarra Valley will now move to more central, indoor locations.
The changes bring the number of shows down from seven to six and the number of venues from seven to five.
The rescheduling of these concerts means that the date of the Brisbane concert – slated for the city’s Entertainment Centre on December 14 – will move.
A second Sydney Entertainment Centre date has been added to cope with the influx of patrons from the now-relocated Hunter Valley show.
So heads-up, kids – here’s where the shows will now go ahead;
December 02 : Melbourne (Rod Laver Arena) – now incorporating former Yarra Valley date
December 03 : Adelaide (Entertainment Centre) – relocated from McLaren Vale
December 06 : Perth (The Esplanade) – relocated from Kings Park & Botanic Gardens ADOTG
December 09 : Sydney (Entertainment Centre)
December 10 : Sydney (Entertainment Centre) – relocated from Hunter Valley
December 12 : Brisbane (Entertainment Centre) – change of date from December 14
