The wraps came off the Future Music Festival’s highly anticipated first artist announcement this morning – and it’s pretty safe to say that organisers didn’t disappoint.
Headlining for 2012 are the all-conquering superstar dance music trio Swedish House Mafia.
Made up of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, these will be the group’s first ever live Australian live shows, so tickets are expected to go flying out the door.
But if the announcement of Swedish House Mafia alone wasn’t enough to whet your dance party whistle, there’s plenty more on offer, with more superstars headed our way.
Fatboy Slim’s on the bill, so too Tinie Tempah, Jessie J and Chase & Status.
Skrillex is in, so too The Wombats, The Rapture, The Naked & Famous, Hercules & Love Affair and Azari & III. There’s also Aphex Twin, Die Antwoord, Paul Van Dyk, Gareth Emery, The Juan Maclean, Stafford Brothers and many more.
It’s set to be one helluva a sizzling summer.
Presale tickets are on sale from Monday October 17 at 9am, while general public tickets hit the ground running on Thursday October 20.
