Some may recognise him from the 2010 series of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’. Others may have spotted him in the finals of this year’s Australia’s Got Talent. Sony Music have spotted that Timomatic (AKA Tim Omaji) has more than a little bit of talent and has therefore signed the song and dance man to release his debut single.
‘Set It Off’ officially hits Australian media today and it’s been described by Timomatic as “an upbeat party-starter, a big summer-track, it’s a dance anthem”.
Co-written and produced by the DNA boys, the track tips its hat to the Ushers and Chris Browns of the world, blending a tried and true R&B sound with the current dance trend.
But it’s not just the music Tim wants to be known for – it’s the dancing too. And as the video below suggests, he’s most certainly got the latter down pat, with some rather awesome moves.
An album is planned for release in the new year. In the meantime, get your hands on ‘Set It Off’ when it’s released digitally on Friday November 25.
