Head to any music store throughout Asia and it soon becomes apparent just what massive followings both J-Pop (Japanese pop) and K-Pop (Korean pop) enjoy.
We don’t see much of either of the genres here in Australia, but that’s all about to change with a massive K-Pop concert hitting Sydney’s ANZ Stadium this Saturday night.
Some of K-Pop’s brightest stars will be taking to the stage for the one-off event, including nine piece sensations Girls’ Generation, whose single ‘The Boys’ was recently released here in Australia.
But is Aussie radio quite ready to take of their Guetta blinders and look further afield for their pop?
Universal Music is certainly hoping so, as they have officially serviced the group’s latest English language single ‘The Boys’ to radio this week ahead of Girls’ Generation’s visit.
To find out more about the K-Pop Fest in Sydney, best you head HERE quick smart.
