Mention the name ‘Debelah Morgan’ to most people these days and they’d more than likely have no idea who you were talking about. But those of us who grew up with pop in the late ’90s and early noughties would know exactly who you were talking about. Sure, the American singer may have been a one hit wonder, but what a hit.
Peaking at No.3 on the ARIA singles chart, ‘Dance With Me’ also smoked up the dancefloors across the globe, achieving top ten success in both the US and the UK.
The clip was relatively simple – Debelah dancing with her lover amongst a throng of others at ‘Hernando’s Hideaway’. There’s a little bit of jealousy, a little bit of competitive dancing and more than a little love.
