Things seem to be going along pretty well over in the Reece Mastin camp after his win on Tuesday night’s X Factor grand final.
Sony has this morning told us that the singer’s debut single ‘Good Night’ sold one copy every 2.7 seconds all day yesterday.
Now we’re no mathematicians, but 24 hours times 60 minutes times 60 seconds divided by 2.7 equals 32,000 copies in just one day – a pretty decent effort by anyone’s standards.
The perfect way for the singer to celebrate his 17th birthday.
Sony has also revealed the album cover for his forthcoming self-titled LP, which will contain studio recordings of some of your favourite performances from the show.
‘Reece Mastin’ will be released on Friday December 09.

Hey JimmySteele,
We’d be hella surprised if he’s not in the No.1 spot come Sunday.
That said, sales only count for the week ’til the end of Thursdays, so tomorrow marks a new week.
But we’d put our money on a No.1 debut given those figures.

Would we assume then that he will lock in the #1 spot this week? That’s a pretty awesome effort in one day!
